Yoga for Sports is a practical, thoughtfully designed movement class for men and women of all ages who play sport, train hard, or move their bodies regularly — and need a way to properly iron things out afterwards. Whether you lift weights, swim, run, cycle, play team sports, or simply love to move, this class helps restore balance, ease, and freedom in the muscular and fascial body, supporting better movement and improved performance. Yoga forms the foundation of the class, but it’s blended with a range of other movement practices, including Pilates-inspired strength, mobility work, and fascial release techniques. The approach is soft but strong — combining stretch with support, release with stability, and effort with ease. Each week, we focus on a specific area of the body (such as shoulders, hips, spine, or ankles), exploring how repetitive training patterns affect movement. You’ll be guided to sense what your body needs in that area — whether that’s releasing tight tissue, strengthening underused muscles, or improving mobility. There’s a deeper understanding of anatomy woven into the class, but don’t expect a serious lecture. Emma’s quirky sense of humour keeps things light, curious, and very human. You’ll learn a lot, work intelligently, and still enjoy yourself. There’s no chanting (apart from a short moment at the end), no pressure to perform, and no need to be flexible or experienced in yoga. This class is about moving better, recovering smarter, and keeping your body working with you rather than against you. You’ll leave feeling looser, more balanced, and more at ease — ready to train, play, and move with greater freedom. Emma's Yoga classes help support strength, recovery and mobility Emma offers a range of yoga classes including morning yoga classes, beginner-friendly yoga, hatha yoga, and specialist movement-based sessions designed to support active bodies. Classes are available at the yoga centre, online, or as private yoga lessons. Emma also works as a yoga teacher at home, offering private yoga classes and yoga lessons tailored to individual needs. Online yoga classes are available for those who prefer to practise yoga at home, alongside in-person group classes. These sessions support strength, mobility, recovery, and long-term wellbeing.
