7-8pm
What to expect
Hatha Yoga Strength, softness, and space to breathe This Hatha yoga class is an invitation to move, explore, and arrive more fully in your body — just as it is. Open to men and women of all ages and all bodies, this class welcomes you whether you’re brand new to yoga, returning after a break, or have years of practice behind you. You don’t need to be flexible, strong, calm, or “good at yoga.” You just need a body and a willingness to be curious. Each class is different every week, offering variety, challenge, and discovery rather than repetition or routine. Sessions are thoughtfully structured to explore strength, stretch, mobility, muscle activation, and deep relaxation, creating a balanced practice that supports both physical wellbeing and nervous system health. At its heart, this is Hatha yoga in the truest sense — a steady, embodied practice that blends traditional postures with non-traditional, functional movements, helping you move in ways that feel relevant to real life. You might recognise familiar yoga shapes, but you’ll also explore less conventional movements designed to improve joint health, coordination, balance, and ease of movement. Rather than rushing from pose to pose, we take time to feel what’s happening, noticing how the body responds to effort and release. Strength is explored without aggression. Stretch is approached without forcing. Rest is given equal importance to action. You’ll work with: Slow, mindful transitions Held postures to build strength and awareness Gentle flows to encourage circulation and mobility Moments of stillness to integrate and soften Muscle activation and relaxation are woven together, helping you develop not just flexibility or strength, but a more intelligent relationship with your body. Over time, this can support better posture, improved confidence in movement, and a greater sense of trust in your physical self. Breath awareness is a central part of the practice, not as something to control, but as a way to anchor attention and calm the mind. As the breath steadies, many people notice a natural settling of mental chatter — a feeling of openness and quiet clarity that extends beyond the mat. This class is not about achieving perfect shapes or pushing through discomfort. Instead, it offers space to listen, adapt, and respond — encouraging you to move in a way that feels supportive rather than performative. Options and variations are always offered, and rest is encouraged whenever it’s needed.
