What to expect

10.15–11.15am | Small Group Yoga, Berkhamsted If the words “dynamic fitness class” make you want to quietly reverse out of the room, this may be more your speed. Welcome to the Creeky Bits Club. Take It Easy Tuesday is a slower, supportive yoga class in Berkhamsted designed for people who want to move more comfortably, improve mobility, build confidence and feel better in their body — without being barked at by fitness culture. This class is particularly well suited to: older adults complete beginners those returning to exercise after time away anyone recovering from illness, injury or surgery people managing stiffness, reduced flexibility or balance concerns In other words, if your body currently makes a noise when you stand up, you are among friends. Classes move at a steady, unhurried pace, giving you time to understand each posture, settle into each movement and actually notice what your body is doing rather than flinging yourself optimistically in the general direction of a hamstring stretch. Alongside gentle stretching, we include: supportive strength work balance training joint mobility posture improvement breath-led movement guided relaxation The aim is simple: to help you feel steadier, stronger, more supple and more confident in daily life. Everything is offered with options and adaptations, so there is never any pressure to keep up or perform. You are encouraged to pause when needed, adjust movements to suit your body and work at a level that feels supportive rather than punishing. This is gentle yoga, but not pointless yoga. You will be taught well, looked after properly and given movements that genuinely help improve flexibility, coordination, circulation and ease of movement over time. The atmosphere is warm, small-group and reassuring, with just enough humour to remind us all that wobbling is normal. Classes are currently held in my Berkhamsted home studio. As numbers grow this class will move to All Saints Church Hall, so if you are interested in joining regularly please do get in touch directly. You will leave calmer, looser and pleasantly surprised by what your body still remembers. Please note: this class is held on an upper floor, and access requires climbing a flight of stairs
