I’m Still Standing Friday is a supportive menopause yoga class in Berkhamsted for women 40+ navigating perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause — helping you feel calmer, stronger, more mobile and a little more like yourself again. This is not a solemn “coping with symptoms” class. It is an intelligent blend of: grounding yoga movement mobility and stretch work light strength training breath practices guided relaxation nervous system support designed to help with the very real effects of hormonal change: poor sleep, rising stress, anxiety, low mood, stiffness, reduced confidence and that slightly frazzled feeling of being permanently one inconvenience away from losing your rag. As oestrogen shifts, the body often becomes more stress-reactive, so a central part of this class is helping the nervous system settle and the body feel safer, steadier and stronger. You will also use light hand weights or bodyweight exercises to support: muscle tone bone health balance heart health everyday resilience Because midlife women need strength, not just scented candles. (Although who doesn't love a scented candle?) Emma is a qualified menopause yoga teacher, so everything is taught with understanding, clarity and plenty of options. Suitable for all levels, including complete beginners.
