Fascial Release For Tight Legs & Glutes
Sat 7th March. 3-5.30pm
What to expect
If your legs feel heavy, tight, or achy — whether from sitting too much, walking too little, running, cycling, or just life — this workshop is for you. It’s a slow, grounded session designed to help you release long-held tension in the legs, glutes, and feet, leaving you lighter, freer, and more connected from the ground up. Fascial release is a simple but powerful practice that works with the web of connective tissue (the fascia) that wraps around every muscle and structure in the body. When this tissue becomes tight or sticky, it can restrict movement, cause pain, and leave us feeling stiff or sluggish. By using small, firm balls and other props, we gently unravel those layers — restoring glide, hydration, and ease to the tissues beneath the skin. In this session, we’ll focus on the gluteal muscles — those deep, hardworking layers that stabilise the hips, support the spine, and often hold onto more tension than we realise. Through mindful, targeted techniques, we’ll work into the glutes using release balls to soften tightness, stimulate circulation, and free up the natural strength and mobility of your hips. Expect deep work, but always at a pace that feels safe and manageable for your own body. From there, we’ll explore the interconnecting lines of tissue that run down through the thighs and calves — the fascial chains that link the hips to the knees, the knees to the ankles, and the ankles all the way to the soles of the feet. As we follow these pathways, you’ll begin to feel how everything is connected — how easing tension in one part of the body can bring relief and balance to another. A large emphasis will be placed on the feet — the foundation of our posture and often the most neglected part of our body. You’ll learn simple, effective ways to mobilise, strengthen, and release the feet so they can truly support you. This workshop is open to all bodies and all ages. You don’t need to be flexible or experienced — and this isn’t a yoga class. It’s guided, accessible bodywork that meets you exactly where you are. The movements are small and controlled, the tools are simple, and the effects are often profound. Expect a mixture of education, practice, and rest. You’ll learn about how your fascia functions, and you’ll leave with practical tools you can use at home . If you’re looking for something that will help you move better, sleep better, and simply feel better — this is it. Fill out the health form and come as you are.
